Home Sweet Home …
Just got home after all but closing up my father’s house on Long Island. It’s funny – how you spend most of your life trying to get away, grow up, move out, build something of your own – but after your parents are gone, and you ‘go home’ to pack it up, you don’t want to leave. If all goes well, we will be finalizing the contracts with our prospective purchasers this week, and have everything wrapped up by the end of July to the middle of August.
There are a few things left that friends have said they want to take away, a few more trips out for inspections, papers to sign, then there will be nothing left on Long Island, and it just seems strange…
